Federal Minister for Information and Broadcasting Attaullah Tarar says the newly proposed 27th Constitutional Amendment is designed to strengthen governance, improve defence, and ensure faster and more effective delivery of justice across Pakistan.
Speaking during a session of the National Assembly on Wednesday, Tarar said a detailed debate was held on the amendment, but regretted that the opposition failed to present any constructive suggestions. He criticised PTI, saying the party prefers political point-scoring instead of contributing to parliamentary decisions.
Pakistan’s Global Standing Improving
Tarar stated that Pakistan’s standing in the international community has improved due to its success in the recent conflict with India and signs of economic recovery.
He highlighted that foreign remittances reached a record $3.4 billion in October, marking an 11% increase compared to the same month last year — a positive indicator for the national economy.
Acknowledgment of Security Forces
The minister also praised Pakistan’s security forces for continued achievements in the fight against terrorism, noting that stability and improved law-and-order conditions are directly supporting economic growth.
