Griffin Wins World Wide Technology Championship in Mexico
American golfer Ben Griffin capped a spectacular weekend with a 9-under 63 on Sunday to win the World Wide Technology Championship in Los Cabos, Mexico — marking his third PGA Tour title of the year.
Griffin stayed composed while his closest rivals stumbled, finishing with a birdie on the par-5 18th to clinch a two-stroke victory at El Cardonal at Diamante.
He now joins Scottie Scheffler and Rory McIlroy as the only golfers with three PGA Tour wins this season, including his earlier team victory in New Orleans.
Five Straight Birdies Secure the Title
Playing in just his second event since his Ryder Cup debut, Griffin delivered a stunning mid-round surge:
- Five consecutive birdies starting at the 8th
- A 40-foot birdie at the par-3 11th to pull level
- A 25-foot birdie at the 12th to take the lead
- Another 25-foot putt on the 16th that sealed his win
Griffin ended the tournament at 29-under 259, and the win boosts him to a career-best No. 9 in the Official World Golf Ranking.
Off the course, it’s also a memorable year — Griffin is set to marry fiancée Dana Myeroff next month.
