Mong Kok, Hong Kong — November 7, 2025: The highly anticipated India vs Pakistan clash in the Hong Kong Sixes 2025 ended dramatically, with India winning by two runs (DLS method) after rain brought the match to an early halt.
The arch-rivals faced off in the opening match of the tournament at the Tin Kwong Road Recreation Ground, giving fans a short but thrilling encounter before weather conditions took over.
India Edges Pakistan in Rain-Hit Thriller
Batting first, India posted 86/4 in six overs, with quick-fire contributions from Robin Uthappa and Bharath Chipli. Pakistan, chasing 87 for victory, managed 41/3 in their innings before rain forced officials to apply the Duckworth–Lewis–Stern (DLS) method, declaring India the winner by two runs.
Pakistan’s skipper Abbas Afridi had earlier won the toss and opted to bowl first. Despite a disciplined start, Indian captain Dinesh Karthik and all-rounder Stuart Binny managed to accelerate the scoring in the final overs.
